This was my 1st book by Parker.

If you’ve read any of my reviews before, I’m honest, I never DNF books and I always read them to the end. Even if the beginning is a bit difficult.

Devious Lies took me a long time to read because the first 40% was just not there for me, lots of unnecessary writing that I found myself skipping at times.

That being said, the balance of the book was enjoyable. Nash & Emery have great chemistry and their banter is entertaining. The lies are revealed and the story begins...
